Service Dealer Magazine July 2010

The July issue of Service Dealer includes a special feature on Security in the Dealership. With a network of organised gangs and the lack of adequate identification tractor thefts have spiralled in recent months, Editor Chris Biddle assesses the moves being made by the industry to combat machinery crimes. HMRC provide red diesel clarification
BAGMA has recieved clarification on the use of red diesel by agricultural machinery dealers. In a letter to BAGMA HMRC has made it clear dealers can use red diesel to deliver and collect agricultural vehicles. This applies where they are being being “hired, loaned, demonstrated or sold to an agricultural, horticultural, or forestry practitioner.” This also includes delivery and collection for servicing or repair. It cannot be used where a new agricultural vehicle is being delivered to a purchaser or potential purchaser and dealer to dealer vehicle movements are not included.

spoga-gafa goes annual
As of 2011, Cologne’s trade fair for the garden sector will once again take place annually under the name spoga+gafa. This means that the annual change of the name and logo of Cologne’s garden trade fair will be a thing of the past.

Reco sign agreement with Schulte
Reco have finalised an agreement with Canadian manufacturer Schulte, which gives them the sole rights to import and distribute the range of specialised machines in the UK. The Schulte range of machinery encompasses Rotary Cutters, Rock Removal Equipment and Snow Blowers. Although Reco will focus predominantly on the Rotary Cutters for the UK market, the other machines in the range will also be available for sale in the UK.
